A Bedroom Installed in a Week: What the Process Actually Looks Like
If you’ve ever renovated a room before, you’ll know it’s rarely the decorating that’s the hard part, it’s everything around it.
The endless decisions. The trades. The scheduling. The “can you just be in on Tuesday between 9 and 4?” messages. The delays. The dust. The half finished feeling that drags on for weeks.
That’s exactly why we offer full-service interior design and project management, and why so many of our clients choose our install in a week approach. If you’re looking for an interior designer in Warwickshire who can take the whole thing off your plate, this is what it can look like in real life. It means you can move out at the beginning of the week and move back into a finished room - no chasing trades, no coordinating deliveries, no living in disruption. We take care of the lot.
Here’s what a one week bedroom install can look like.
The goal: one week, one team, one finished room
Before install week begins, we’ve already done the work that makes the week run smoothly: the design is signed off, items are ordered, lead times managed, and the schedule is mapped out.
Then install week becomes the execution stage - fast, organised, and fully managed.
Day 1: Strip-out & prep
This is the “messy” day - so you don’t have to be there for it.
Removing old furniture (as agreed), fittings, blinds/curtains, and anything being replaced
Making good walls/woodwork and prepping surfaces
Any first-fix jobs ready for decorating (minor electrics if required, filling, sanding)
By the end of day one, the room looks worse before it looks better… but it’s the foundation for everything that follows.
Day 2: Decorating day
This is where the transformation begins to feel real.
Painting walls, ceiling and woodwork
Feature colours or specialist finishes (if part of the scheme)
Laying the groundwork for the final mood of the room
Day 3: Flooring day
Flooring has a huge impact on how “finished” a room feels.
Carpet fitting or flooring installation
Underlay, thresholds and neat finishing details
Final checks to make sure everything is clean, secure and sitting properly
Once the floor goes down, the room instantly starts to feel pulled together.
Day 4: Wardrobe install & furniture build
This is the heavy-lift day, but it’s also the most satisfying.
Wardrobe installation / joinery fitting (depending on the design)
Furniture assembly and placement
Lighting, hardware, and any final fitting touches
Snagging begins as we go, so details don’t slip to the end
Day 5: Styling & finishing touches
This is what turns “new” into done.
Dressing the bed with the full scheme (layers, textures, cushions, throws)
Hanging artwork, mirrors and installing window treatments
Adding accessories and styling pieces so it feels lived-in (in the best way)
Final snagging, polish, and a proper clean
This is the moment clients love most: walking back in and feeling like the room has been completed down to the last detail.
Why clients choose a one-week bedroom install with us
Because it removes the parts of renovation that most people dread.
You don’t manage trades
No coordination, no phone calls, no diary juggling. You don’t deal with deliveries
We schedule, receive, check, and handle issues if anything arrives damaged or wrong. You don’t live in disruption
You can step out, let us get on with it, and return to a finished room. You get the full vision, not a half-finished version
A room isn’t complete when the paint dries. It’s complete when the lighting is right, the curtains are hung, the art is up, and the space feels like you.
